Meet the Founder
Reverend Tonya Nelson Thomas-Stevens is a native Southern Marylander, born in raised in St. Mary's County Maryland.
Reverend Stevens founded Vision of Faith Outreach Ministries in May of 2014. The Lord gave her a Vision to go out and help those who were in need of him, and introduce them, guide them, and give them the opportunity to learn of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Currently, she is an Associate Minister at Little Ark Baptist Church, in Dahlgren, Virginia under the leadership of Pastor Larry M. Robinson for the last 6 years.
Reverend Stevens is a mother of 6 Children and a host of extended Children, a Grandmother of 18 and a host of extended grands as well. She is the wife of Deacon Anthony A. Stevens of Alexandria, Virginia.
Also she is a Woman With Purpose, and has a Vision of Faith that takes her on her journey assignments in which the Lord gives her. Revevend Stevens is an Event Planner, Chorographer, Psalmist, Teacher, Preacher, and so much much more.
Once of her favorite scriptures is, " I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES, AND HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH."
Our Vision
To is to go out into the World and teach about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To engage with others, to teach and preach, spreading the good news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In doing so, we proclaim the Word of God, as we help to build others in confidence through God's Grace, God's Mercy and through his power that will transform others to be more like Christ.
Our Mission Statement
We also believe the Jesus Christ, is the Son of God, and that he lived, died for our sins, and rose, and that the Bible is the foundation of our beliefs.
Therefore, we are to engage to live our lives as unto the Lord, to heed his word, to live and act respectively one to another as Christians. We also believe that the Bible Foundations, as in Ephesians 4:11-12 is the foundational truths and order of the Church, and that Jesus is the Chief Cornestone of this Foundation.
